Do not stop Zyrik 100 Tablet on having an acute attack of gout as that could make an attack worse. Your doctor may check your liver function before starting treatment and regularly thereafter. Zyrik 100 Tablet can be taken at any time of day, but it's generally advisable to take it at the same time each day for easier memory recall. It is typically taken once daily and should be taken after meals. If your dose exceeds 300mg or if you experience digestive discomfort, you may consider dividing the dosage as instructed by your doctor.
You might encounter increased gout attacks (severe pain, swelling, and redness) when starting Zyrik 100 Tablet. However, these attacks generally become shorter and less severe over several months of treatment. The possible reason for increased attacks could be the gradual breakdown of uric acid crystals, leading to fluctuations in uric acid levels within your blood. To prevent such painful episodes, your doctor may recommend adding colchicine with Zyrik 100 Tablet, as it can suppress gout attacks.
It might take several months before you experience noticeable improvements or significant reductions in gout attacks (severe pain, swelling, and redness). Furthermore, it is recommended to avoid high-protein foods as they might contribute to gout attacks. Consult your doctor for a comprehensive list of food items that should be avoided.
