Zycovit Plus 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12, an essential nutrient that helps produce red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a crucial role in releasing energy from food and utilizing vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Individuals who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet may be at higher risk for vitamin B12 deficiency, as this nutrient is not naturally found in foods such as fruits, vegetables, and grains. Others who may be at risk include those with gastrointestinal disorders that impair absorption, pregnant women, and individuals taking certain medications.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause a range of symptoms, including tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, megaloblastic anemia (enlarged red blood cells), nerve problems such as numbness and tingling in the hands and feet, balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
