Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet is an antacid that reduces the amount of acid produced by your stomach. It is used to treat and prevent heartburn, indigestion, and stomach ulcers. It is also commonly prescribed to prevent stomach ulcers and heartburn caused due to the use of painkillers. The medicine must be swallowed whole with water before or after a meal. The medicine must be taken in the dose and duration advised by the doctor. This medicine should relieve indigestion and heartburn within a few hours. If the symptoms persist or get worse even after 14 days of treatment, you should consult your doctor immediately. It is not recommended to take this medicine in severe stomach disease. You can help the medicine work better by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding spicy or oily foods.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet.
Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet is a histamine H2 receptor antagonist. It works by reducing the acid produced in the stomach. This helps to relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
Take it with or without food. Take other medications to treat acidity 2 hours before or after taking Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet. Avoid taking soft drinks, citrus fruits like orange and lemon, which can irritate the stomach and increase acid secretion. Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet for 2 weeks. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney disease. Do not stop taking the medication without talking to your doctor.
Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. It can be taken once daily before bedtime or twice daily in the morning and before bedtime, as recommended.
Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet starts working as fast as within 15 minutes from when it is given. Its effect is seen to last all day or all night.
Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet and Omeprazole belong to different groups of medicines. While Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet belongs to histamine H2 antagonists group, Omeprazole belongs to proton pump inhibitors group. Both these medicines work by reducing the amount of acid made by the stomach, to relieve the symptoms and allow healing.
Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet may have some serious side effects. These include hives, skin rash, itching, hoarseness and difficulty in breathing or swallowing. Other serious symptoms may be swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs. Inform your doctor in case you notice any of the mentioned symptoms.
Avoid taking aspirin and other painkillers used to treat arthritis, period pain or headache. These medicines may irritate the stomach and make your condition worse. Contact your doctor who may suggest alternative medicines. Avoid coffee, tea, cocoa and cola drinks because these contain ingredients that may irritate your stomach. Eat smaller, more frequent meals. Eat slowly and chew your food carefully. Try not to rush at meal times. You should stop or cut down on smoking.
There is limited data available on whether Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet can be used for a long term or not. However, it is a relatively safe medicine. You should take it for the duration advised by your doctor. Do not take over-the-counter Zorbin Forte 40mg Tablet for longer than 2 weeks unless advised by your doctor.
