Suspension
Zobit M Suspension is an antibiotic medicine that is effective against a wide range of bacterial and parasitic infections. In children, it is used to treat infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
Zobit M Suspension is an antibiotic having ofloxacin and metronidazole as its active ingredients. Both these medicines damage the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria, thus killing it by stopping its growth. This prevents the infection from spreading without making the bacteria resistant to further treatment.
If your child develops diarrhea as a side effect, encourage them to drink plenty of water. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help if your child experiences an altered taste. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid to your child within 2 hours of taking Zobit M Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Never save the medicine for future illnesses since its effectiveness in future infections cannot be guaranteed. Discontinue Zobit M Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing.
While an extra dose of Zobit M Suspension will not have any side effects, you must be cautious. If you suspect your child has received too much Zobit M Suspension, contact a healthcare professional immediately. Overdose can increase the risk of unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any of these symptoms.
If your child doesn't show improvement despite taking Zobit M Suspension for the full course, it may indicate that the medicine is ineffective in addressing the bacterial infection. In this case, consult a healthcare professional who might recommend alternative antibiotics with specific activity against the bacteria causing the infection.
It's essential to inform your healthcare provider about all other medications or substances your child is currently taking before starting Zobit M Suspension. Additionally, it's crucial to seek guidance from a healthcare professional before administering any additional medication.
Generally, antibiotics don't interfere with vaccine ingredients or cause adverse reactions in children who have recently received a vaccination. However, children taking antibiotics should avoid vaccination until they recover from the illness. Once your child feels better, it's safe to administer the vaccine after consulting a healthcare professional.
Inform your healthcare provider if your child has any of the following conditions: heart disease, genetic disorders impacting blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (sunlight allergy), neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. These conditions could be aggravated by Zobit M Suspension and potentially lead to complications.
