Introduction

ZM Cold Tablet is a medicine used to treat common cold symptoms. It provides relief from allergic symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and nasal congestion. It also blocks the release of certain chemical that cause pain and inflammation and relieves aches and fever associated with cold.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. ZM Cold Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Caffeine is a stimulant which works by blocking the action of certain natural substances (adenosine and phosphodiesterase).

ZM Cold Tablet is prescribed to get relief from symptoms of common cold. Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended. Call your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within seven days of treatment. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for cold. Along with taking ZM Cold Tablet do the following simple tips at home to get relief: Steam inhalation, Gargling with warm saltwater, Apply vapor rubs on chest back if needed, Take enough rest, Take warm food and fluid only, Ensure adequate fluid intake, Advise hygiene measures to reduce spread: frequent hand-washing, avoiding sharing towels, pillowcases, etc.
