Zivolin-M Tablet SR is a combination medicine used in the prevention of asthma. It relieves allergy symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes and congestion or stuffiness.

Zivolin-M Tablet SR is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zivolin-M Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Zivolin-M Tablet SR is a combination of three medicines: Montelukast, Fexofenadine and Acebrophylline. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms of allergies. Fexofenadine is an antiallergic which relieves symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor even if you feel better. Notify your doctor if you smoke or have a viral infection. Your dose may need to be adjusted. Avoid using antacids within 30 minutes of taking this medicine. It can make it harder for your body to absorb this medication.
Do not take Zivolin-M Tablet SR with fruit juices (such as apple, orange, or grapefruit) as they may reduce the drug's effectiveness. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Zivolin-M Tablet SR. Alcohol consumption can intensify drowsiness or sleepiness caused by Zivolin-M Tablet SR.
No, Zivolin-M Tablet SR must be continued as prescribed by the doctor. If you experience any adverse effects while using Zivolin-M Tablet SR, inform your doctor immediately.
Yes, some patients may experience dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) while taking Zivolin-M Tablet SR. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is advisable to rest and resume your normal activities only when you feel better.
Taking a higher dose of Zivolin-M Tablet SR will not make it more effective and may lead to increased side effects. If your symptoms worsen, please consult with your doctor for further evaluation.
