Zitran SB 130mg Capsule is a medication used to treat various fungal infections caused by Trichophyton spp., Microsporum spp., and Epidermophyton floccosum. These include ringworm, skin infections of the feet, groin and buttocks, persistent nail and toenail infections, candidiasis (yeast) in the vagina or mouth, cryptococcal infection, and histoplasmosis, aspergillosis, and blastomycosis.
The duration of treatment with Zitran SB 130mg Capsule depends on the specific infection, its location, and your individual response. For example, for athlete's foot (skin infection of the feet), it may require treatment for 30 days, whereas for vaginal candidiasis, treatment might be between 1 day and 3 days depending on the prescribed dosage by your doctor.
You should not stop taking Zitran SB 130mg Capsule without completing the entire course as stopping early might not completely cure the fungal infection. It typically takes 6-9 months for nail lesions to disappear as new nails grow after the medicine eliminates the fungus. Continue with the prescribed dosage and do not worry if you don't see immediate improvement.
