Zita DM 10mg/20mg/500mg Tablet SR is a combination medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. This medicine is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps in the proper utilization of insulin, thereby lowering the blood sugar level.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zita DM 10mg/20mg/500mg Tablet SR is to be taken with food.

Side Effects

It can cause genital fungal and/or urinary tract infections (UTIs) in both females and males so practice good hygiene.

Each of the active components of Zita DM 10mg/20mg/500mg Tablet SR works in different ways to help control blood sugar levels. Dapagliflozin lowers blood sugar by causing the kidneys to get rid of more glucose in the urine. Teneligliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor which works by increasing the release of insulin from pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. Metformin is an antidiabetic medication (biguanide). It works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.
