Astemizole Azelastine Buclizine Cetirizine
Zinver OD 24mg Tablet is a histamine analog. It works by improving the blood flow in the inner ear which reduces the pressure of excess fluid there. Excess fluid can send signals to the brain causing nausea, dizziness or spinning sensations (symptoms of Ménière's disease). Zinver OD 24mg Tablet additionally dampens down the nerve signals sent from the inner ear to the brain relieving the symptoms of Ménière's disease.
You have been prescribed Zinver OD 24mg Tablet to relieve vertigo (dizziness), hearing problems and tinnitus (noise in the ear) associated with Ménière's disease. It can only decrease the number and severity of attacks but may not completely stop them. Taking it with food can help reduce stomach problems. Take it at the same time each day to maintain a steady amount of the medicine in your body. Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcer, asthma, or low blood pressure.
Meniere's disease affects the inner ear, causing imbalance and hearing problems like vertigo, fluctuating hearing, tinnitus (ringing in ears), and pressure changes. It often involves dizziness that can lead to nausea and vomiting. Treatment depends on individual cases and a doctor's assessment is crucial for personalized treatment plans.
Zinver OD 24mg Tablet may be effective when used as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking the medication even if symptoms improve, as stopping early could worsen or return the condition.
Meniere's disease can be triggered by stressors, such as fatigue, stress, and emotional distress. Additionally, certain foods (like dairy, caffeine, alcohol, or high-sodium ones) may also trigger symptoms. A low-salt diet (2 grams per day) might help control vertigo in some cases.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if the next dose is almost due, skip the missed one and take the scheduled dose at the designated time. Do not double the dosage to compensate for the missed dose. This might increase the risk of side effects.
Mental stress can trigger or worsen existing vertigo symptoms. It is important to understand that stress alone does not cause vertigo, but it can make some forms of vertigo worse.
Vertigo can be triggered by sudden changes in blood pressure or dehydration. Many people experience lightheadedness when transitioning from lying down to standing up quickly. Additionally, certain medications, inner ear issues (like Meniere's disease or acoustic neuroma), motion sickness, and head trauma can cause vertigo.
