Zincocet Syrup is a combination medicine designed to alleviate dry cough by thinning mucus in the nose and windpipe, making it easier to expel. It also addresses allergy symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, throat irritation, and sneezing. The syrup contains Cetirizine, Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, Zinc, and Menthol, each contributing to its overall effectiveness. While generally safe, it is important to follow the prescribed dosage and consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 7 days.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Zincocet Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Zincocet Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Cetirizine, Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, Zinc, and Menthol. Cetirizine is an antiallergic that blocks the action of histamine, which triggers cough due to allergy. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that reduces the activity of the cough center in the brain. Zinc releases zinc ions into the throat to reduce irritation, and Menthol produces a sensation of coolness, further relieving throat irritation.

Zincocet Syrup is prescribed to get relief from a dry cough. Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than recommended. Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers or asthma. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications, e.g., anti-depressants. Consult your doctor if you do not see any improvement and have a cough for more than 7 days.
