Introduction
Zetopan-DSR Capsule is a prescription medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux), dyspepsia (indigestion), and gastritis. It helps treat these conditions by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach, thereby relieving symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. The medicine combines Domperidone, a prokinetic, and Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Domperidone increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. Pantoprazole reduces the amount of acid in the stomach, providing relief from acid-related indigestion and heartburn. While effective, long-term use can lead to weak bones and mineral deficiencies. Consult your doctor for appropriate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements.
Directions for Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Zetopan-DSR Capsule is to be taken on an empty stomach.
How it works
Zetopan-DSR Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic that works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid in the stomach, helping to relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
Quick Tips
Take Zetopan-DSR Capsule one hour before the meal, preferably in the morning. Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever, or stomach pain that does not go away. Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Zetopan-DSR Capsule for 14 days. Long-term use can cause weak bones and a deficiency of minerals such as magnesium. Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor. Incorporate lifestyle changes to prevent acidity and heartburn: eat regular meals, drink plenty of water, avoid spicy and fatty fried food, lose weight if obese, consider quitting smoking, limit alcohol intake, and avoid lying down immediately after meals.
