Ofloxacin (50mg)
Zenkind 50mg Oral Suspension is an antibiotic medicine commonly given to children for treating a wide range of bacterial infections.
Oral Suspension
Zenkind 50mg Oral Suspension is an antibiotic medicine used to treat various bacterial infections in children, including those affecting the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, abdomen, and urinary tract. It is also part of the treatment regimen for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). The medicine works by interfering with the genetic material of bacteria, preventing their multiplication and survival. While effective, it is important to follow the prescribed dosage and be aware of potential side effects and drug interactions.
Administer the prescribed dose of Zenkind 50mg Oral Suspension to your child as directed by the doctor. Do not double the dose to catch up if a dose is missed.
Zenkind 50mg Oral Suspension interferes with the genetic material of bacteria by implanting defects in its DNA. These defects hamper bacterial multiplication and survival, effectively killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing the infection from spreading.
Do not panic if a dose is missed; give the medicine as soon as you remember unless advised otherwise by the doctor. Do not double the dose to catch up. Avoid giving calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamins, or antacids within 2 hours of taking Zenkind 50mg Oral Suspension as these can affect its absorption. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water if diarrhea develops as a side effect. Do not use this medicine for viral infections like the common cold and flu. Discontinue the medicine and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of the face and mouth, or difficulty breathing. Only use Zenkind 50mg Oral Suspension for the current infection and do not save it for future illnesses.
