Zariclav Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine that helps treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is capable of killing bacteria that have become resistant to other therapies and thus also helps treat tuberculosis that is resistant to other treatments.
Never give Zariclav Dry Syrup until and unless prescribed by the doctor. You must also never share your child’s medicine with anyone else even if they show similar symptoms.
No common side effects listed.
Zariclav Dry Syrup is an antibiotic. It has two active agents amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria. This makes the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid an effective line of treatment for many types of infections.
Never give Zariclav Dry Syrup to treat common cold and flu-like symptoms caused by viruses. Never save medicine for future illnesses. It cannot be said whether the same medicine will work on future infections. Check ‘expiry’ before giving Zariclav Dry Syrup to your child. Immediately discard all the expired medicines. Stop Zariclav Dry Syrup immediately if your child develops an itchy rash facial swelling or breathing difficulty. Report to the doctor without any delay.
Zariclav Dry Syrup may interact with other medications. It is important to inform your child's doctor about all medications, including vitamins and supplements, before starting treatment. Always consult a medical professional regarding any medication changes during treatment.
Antibiotics generally do not interfere with vaccines or cause adverse reactions in children already receiving them. However, it's advisable to avoid giving your child any vaccinations until they are fully recovered from the illness before starting Zariclav Dry Syrup. Once they feel better, they can receive the vaccine.
Periodic kidney and liver function tests will be conducted by the doctor during prolonged treatment with Zariclav Dry Syrup to ensure your child's condition is stable.
Providing a higher dosage of this medication can significantly increase the risks of side effects. In case your child experiences worsening symptoms, please contact your doctor for re-evaluation.
No, do not discontinue the medication until the full course of treatment is completed. Even if you observe symptom relief, continue administering Zariclav Dry Syrup for the prescribed duration as it may still be beneficial.
Yes, Zariclav Dry Syrup can cause diarrhea. This is due to its antibiotic properties, which impact the gut bacteria in your child's body and may lead to digestive issues.
While a large majority of viral infections don't develop bacterial infections, it's crucial to consult with your child's doctor before initiating antibiotics. Antibiotics are not required for viral infections.
Yellow or green mucus in the nose does not necessarily indicate a bacterial infection, especially during common cold symptoms. Mucus thickening and color changes are normal during this time.
Seek urgent medical attention if your child experiences allergic reactions (difficulty breathing or skin rashes), gastrointestinal issues (diarrhea), and/or liver problems like weakness, paleness, or vomiting. These are serious side effects and require prompt expert intervention.
