Z Bend Plus Oral Suspension is an anti-worm medicine used to treat roundworm and tapeworm infections in children.
Oral Suspension
Z Bend Plus Oral Suspension is an anti-worm medicine given to treat a multitude of parasitic worm infestations such as roundworm and tapeworm infections in children. It works by paralyzing and restraining the worms from absorbing the body's energy, leading to their eventual death.
Do not share your child's medicines with others and do not give anyone else's medicine to your child.
Z Bend Plus Oral Suspension is a mixture of two medicines: Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin works by binding to the muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die, thereby treating your child's infection effectively.
Do not share your child's medicines with others and do not give anyone else's medicine to your child. Worm infections are easily spread between family members. Your doctor may recommend treatment for all family members on the same day, whether or not they have any symptoms of infection. Some self-care tips: Do not give raw or undercooked food to your child. Always give a balanced diet containing herbs, fruits, and spices of therapeutic value. Encourage your child to wash their hands with soap and water every time they use the toilet as that will help prevent cross-infection. Trim your child's nails frequently to disable any source of worm infection. Maintain a neat space and hygiene around your child. Call your child's doctor right away if the child exhibits signs of allergic reaction like rash, itching, or any other sign of infection such as fever, gum-bleeding, black or red stools, and blood in urine or vomit.
Symptoms of a potential worm infection can include: itchy anal area (perineum), difficulty sitting, fatigue, restless sleep due to anal itching, and persistent stomach pain along with loss of appetite or frequent indigestion. In some cases, pica may occur, where the child might be eating inedible substances like mud. If you notice any of these symptoms in your child, it is important to contact their doctor immediately. The doctor may request stool and blood samples for examination on different days. Based on the reports, they will determine the treatment plan and prescribe medication if needed.
Z Bend Plus Oral Suspension can be given at any time of day. Just remember to give it with a food containing fat, such as milk.
Poor sanitation can lead to soil contamination with worm eggs. Children may also get infected by playing in contaminated soil. When your child returns home after playing outside, they should wash thoroughly using soap and water. Drinking contaminated water or consuming unwashed or peeled vegetables and fruits are additional sources of transmission.
Store Z Bend Plus Oral Suspension at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from children and pets to prevent accidental intake. Do not freeze the medicine.
Call your child’s doctor if they experience vision problems, puffy eyes, severe itching all over their body or trouble walking or standing, difficulty breathing, fast heart rate. You should also seek immediate attention if your child experiences disorientation or confusion, loss of bowel control, or neck pain shortly after taking Z Bend Plus Oral Suspension.
