Sip water or sugar-free drinks or suck ice chips throughout the day to moisten your mouth Drink water during meals to aid chewing and swallowing. Breathe through your nose, not your mouth, and add moisture to the air at night with a room humidifier. Limit your caffeine intake because caffeine can make your mouth drier. Completely stop smoking or chewing tobacco.
