Xylocaine Spray is a local anesthetic. It works on the skin by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain. This numbs the area and decreases pain sensation.
Apply it over the affected area with a clean fingertip Three to four times a day or as directed by your doctor Do not apply it to broken or infected areas of skin Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor
Xylocaine Spray is typically administered by a healthcare professional to numb the area being treated or medical equipment during a medical procedure. It helps to reduce discomfort associated with the insertion of medical instruments, such as needles or catheters, and can also alleviate pain and inflammation in conditions like hemorrhoids (piles) and anal fissures.
Xylocaine Spray is applied at the start of a medical procedure and typically takes 3-5 minutes for the numbing effect to occur.
When used under the guidance of a doctor or as directed, Xylocaine Spray is generally considered safe. However, using more than the recommended amount may lead to serious health issues, including numbness of the mouth and throat if ingested. This can result in difficulty swallowing and potentially choking. It is essential to follow your doctor's instructions and use the product as directed to minimize the risk of adverse effects.
