Introduction

Xilingio 10mg/5mg Tablet is a combination medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. This medicine is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps in proper utilisation of insulin, thereby lowering the blood sugar level.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Xilingio 10mg/5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side Effects

It can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol, or if you delay or miss a meal. Check your blood sugar regularly.

Xilingio 10mg/5mg Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Empagliflozin and Linagliptin. Empagliflozin works by removing excess glucose from your body through urine. Linagliptin works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines, and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.

Practice good genital hygiene to prevent yeast or urinary tract infections. It may cause your body to lose too much fluid (dehydration) or you to urinate more often. Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemia symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor, and anxious feeling. Stop taking Xilingio 10mg/5mg Tablet and Inform your doctor if you notice joint pains or develop symptoms such as stomach pain, nausea, and/or vomiting.
