Introduction

Xecap 500mg Tablet should be taken with food within 30 minutes after eating a meal. Your doctor will decide the necessary dose and frequency based on your condition. Taking it incorrectly or in excess can cause serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months to see benefits, but do not stop taking it unless advised by your doctor. Common side effects include vomiting, weakness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. This medicine may reduce blood cells, increasing infection risk. Regular blood tests are required to monitor blood cells, heart, liver, and uric acid levels. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems or are taking other medications. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Effective contraception is important during treatment to avoid pregnancy.

Xecap 500mg Tablet is an anticancer medication. Inside the body, it converts into 5-fluorouracil, which hampers the synthesis of genetic materials (RNA and DNA) in cancer cells, thereby interfering with their growth. This slows down the growth of cancer cells and eventually kills them.

Used alone or in combination with other medicines for the treatment of colon, rectum, or breast cancers. Preferred by many patients as it is an oral chemotherapy. Should be taken within 30 minutes after eating a meal. May cause dizziness and tiredness. Avoid driving or activities requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice signs of infection such as fever, sore throat, rash, or severe diarrhea.
