Ivermectin (1.5mg/5ml) + Albendazole (200mg/5ml)
Wormizal Plus Oral Suspension is an anti-worm medicine used to treat parasitic worm infestations in children.
Oral Suspension
Wormizal Plus Oral Suspension is a mixture of two medicines: Ivermectin and Albendazole. It works by paralyzing and restraining the worms from absorbing the body's energy, leading to their eventual death.
Follow the dosage instructions provided by your doctor and ensure your child completes the full course of treatment.
Wormizal Plus Oral Suspension works by binding to the muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level.
Do not share your child's medicines with others and do not give anyone else's medicine to your child. Maintain a neat space and hygiene around your child. Trim your child's nails frequently to disable any source of worm infection. Encourage your child to wash their hands with soap and water every time they use the toilet as that will help prevent cross-infection.
Common signs and symptoms of a worm infection in children include an itchy bottom (rectal area), difficulty sitting, fatigue, restless sleep due to anal itching, and persistent stomach pain with loss of appetite or frequent indigestion. In some cases, children may also exhibit pica, where they eat non-food items like mud. If you notice any of these symptoms in your child, consult their doctor immediately.
Wormizal Plus Oral Suspension can be given to your child at any time of day, but it's best taken with a fat-containing food such as milk to enhance absorption.
Children may become infected with intestinal worms by coming into contact with contaminated soil while playing, or through contaminated water, vegetables, and fruits that have not been properly washed or peeled. Regularly washing hands and cleaning up after playtime can help prevent the spread of infection.
Wormizal Plus Oral Suspension should be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place where children and pets cannot access it. It's essential to keep the medicine away from direct sunlight and avoid freezing it to maintain its effectiveness.
If your child experiences severe symptoms such as vision problems, puffy eyes, widespread itching, trouble walking or standing, difficulty breathing, fast heart rate, disorientation, loss of bowel control, or neck pain after taking Wormizal Plus Oral Suspension, seek medical attention right away.
