Syrup
Worm Effect Syrup is an anti-worm medicine given to treat a multitude of parasitic worm infestations such as roundworm and tapeworm infections in children. It works by paralyzing and restraining the worms from absorbing the body's energy, leading to their eventual death.
Do not share your child's medicines with others and do not give anyone else's medicine to your child.
Worm Effect Syrup is a mixture of two medicines: Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin works by binding to the muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die, thereby treating your child's infection effectively.
Do not share your child's medicines with others and do not give anyone else's medicine to your child. Worm infections are easily spread between family members. Your doctor may recommend treatment for all family members on the same day, whether or not they have any symptoms of infection. Some self-care tips: Do not give raw or undercooked food to your child. Always give a balanced diet containing herbs, fruits, and spices of therapeutic value. Encourage your child to wash their hands with soap and water every time they use the toilet as that will help prevent cross-infection. Trim your child's nails frequently to disable any source of worm infection. Maintain a neat space and hygiene around your child. Call your child's doctor right away if the child exhibits signs of allergic reaction like rash, itching, or any other sign of infection such as fever, gum-bleeding, black or red stools, and blood in urine or vomit.
Signs of a possible worm infection in children may include: * Itchiness in the rectal area (anal area) * Difficulty sitting * Fatigue * Restlessness due to anal itching * Persistent stomach pain with loss of appetite or frequent indigestion * Pica - eating inedible substances such as mud. It is important to consult your child's doctor if you notice any of these signs. Your child’s doctor may suggest collecting a stool sample and blood sample for examination to diagnose the infection. After the results are reviewed, your child's doctor will determine the treatment plan and prescribe medication accordingly.
You can give Worm Effect Syrup at any time of day. Make sure to administer it with a fat-containing food like milk for optimal absorption.
Intestinal worm infection can occur when your child comes into contact with contaminated soil or water: * Contaminated soil: Soil can harbor eggs of worms, leading to infection. * Playing in contaminated soil: Contact with the contaminated soil while playing can increase the risk of infection. * Waterborne transmission: Consuming contaminated water can also lead to worm infection. * Food contamination: Eating unwashed or unpeeled fruits and vegetables that are contaminated with worms may cause infection.
Store Worm Effect Syrup at room temperature in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children and pets to avoid accidental ingestion. Do not freeze the medicine.
Consult your child's doctor immediately if they experience any of the following symptoms after taking Worm Effect Syrup: * Vision problems * Puffy eyes * Severe itchy rash all over the body * Difficulty walking or standing * Trouble breathing * Fast heart rate * Disorientation or confusion * Loss of bowel control * Neck pain
