Wepox 10000IU Injection is a medicine that helps your bone marrow to produce more red blood cells. It is used to treat a type of anemia caused by kidney disease. It is also used to treat anemia caused by cancer chemotherapy and by taking medicines to treat HIV.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self-administer.
Wepox 10000IU Injection is an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA). It works by stimulating the bone marrow (soft tissue inside the bones which produces red blood cells) to produce more red blood cells.
Wepox 10000IU Injection helps in the treatment of anemia that may have occurred due to chronic kidney disease or cancer chemotherapy. It is given as a single injection under your skin. Your doctor may get your blood tests done regularly to monitor the levels of hemoglobin, blood cells and electrolytes such as potassium in your blood. Monitor your blood pressure regularly while taking this medication. Inform your doctor if you notice symptoms of very high blood pressure such as severe headache, problems with your eyesight, nausea, vomiting or fits (seizures). Stop taking Wepox 10000IU Injection and inform your doctor if you develop shortness of breath or skin rash.
Store pre-filled syringes of Wepox 10000 IU Injection in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C. If using at home, keep the syringe refrigerated until use. Allow it to reach room temperature before injecting. Used or soon-to-be-used syringes can be kept at room temperature (below 25°C) for up to 7 days. Keep them away from children and protected from light.
Inform your doctor or nurse immediately if you suspect an overdose of Wepox 10000 IU Injection has occurred.
Do not use the solution if it appears cloudy, contains particles, or has expired. Check the expiration date on the label and avoid using the medicine if it may have been accidentally frozen due to a refrigerator failure.
