Ear Drop
Wax-Off Kid Ear Drop is a medicinal remedy that effectively softens the hardened ear wax plugs, removes dirt, and dead skin cells from the ear. It treats ear pain due to earwax accumulation in children. The exact mechanism used by Wax-Off Kid Ear Drop to act is not known clearly. However, it is believed that Wax-Off Kid Ear Drop softens, lubricates, breaks up, and/or dissolves the ear wax. As a result, it becomes easy to remove the plugged ear wax which contains glandular secretion, water, dead skin cells, and microorganisms like bacteria.
Understand that earwax is normal. If it does not cause bothersome symptoms, it should not be tampered with. Do not use cotton swabs or buds to clean your child's ear as it pushes the earwax deep inside and makes the wax difficult to extract. Abstain your child from rolling fingers and scratching their ear canal soon after putting the medicine to avoid the medicine from draining out and risk of infection. Ask your child to keep lying down for at least 2-3 minutes after putting Wax-Off Kid Ear Drop. Doing so allows the medicine to soak into the ear wax. Replace the medicine cap immediately after use. Inform the child's doctor about anything abnormal such as blood, oozing, pain, or change in hearing.
No common side effects listed.

Using this medication is not mandatory for every child. It may help prevent pain, ringing in the ears, and infection in children who use hearing aids or have a history of excessive earwax buildup. It is recommended to discuss this option with your child's doctor for personalized advice.
There is no specific timeline for removing earwax. It is a natural process and there is usually no need to do anything unless the buildup is excessive. Consult your child’s doctor about possible preventive measures.
Cotton-tipped swabs can slightly remove some earwax, but they may push it deeper into the ear canal. This could potentially injure the ear canal or worsen earwax buildup. It is not advisable to use cotton swabs deep into the ear canals.
Removing earwax may improve your child's hearing if the hearing issue was caused by a blockage in the ear canal. However, remember that Wax-Off Kid Ear Drop does not directly affect hearing abilities. If your child's hearing continues to be reduced, please consult an expert.
Have your child lie down or sit with the affected ear facing upward. Place the dropper directly over the ear and administer the prescribed number of drops into the ear canal. Hold the earlobe down and back to help the drops reach the ear canal. Tilt the head back for 2 minutes, or insert a piece of cotton if directed by your doctor. This will help keep the medicine in contact with the ear canal. Repeat for the other ear if necessary. Do not rinse the dropper; instead, replace the cap after use. Wash your hands after using the medicine.
Consult with your child's doctor on when to administer Wax-Off Kid Ear Drop for optimal effectiveness. After your initial appointment, it is advisable to give the medicine at a fixed time daily to help soften the wax and then use it weekly until your child's follow-up appointment. To avoid missed doses, note down each time you administer this medication.
A blocked ear can cause discomfort, feeling of fullness in the ear, itching, dizziness, ringing in the ears, or a reflex cough. If your child experiences any of these symptoms, it's crucial to consult with their doctor for further evaluation.
It is not recommended to combine two medications at once. Instead, follow the advice of your child’s doctor to determine the appropriate gap between medication administrations for maximum effectiveness. If necessary, seek guidance from your child's doctor on how long you should wait before administering another medication.
Always store Wax-Off Kid Ear Drop according to the instructions provided on its label. Ideally, keep it at room temperature away from small children and pets. Do not freeze the medication.
