Wavtel 40H Tablet is a combination of two medicines that help to control high blood pressure.
Tablet
Wavtel 40H Tablet is generally used when one medicine alone is not controlling the blood pressure effectively. Lowering blood pressure helps to reduce your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke in the future.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Wavtel 40H Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
No common side effects listed.
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Wavtel 40H Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Wavtel 40H Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Wavtel 40H Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Wavtel 40H Tablet is a combination of two medicines:
It can be taken with or without food. It may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, very dry mouth or muscle weakness. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Use of Wavtel 40H Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding is unsafe.
To ensure safe use, avoid consuming potassium supplements or salt substitutes unless advised by your doctor. Also, limit alcohol consumption as it can lower blood pressure and cause side effects. Stay hydrated by drinking enough fluids during exercise and in hot weather. This medication may cause dizziness, so avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing activities requiring concentration until you understand how the medicine affects you. If you feel dizzy, lie down to prevent fainting.
If you accidentally take an excessive amount of Wavtel 40H Tablet, you may experience low blood pressure, dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, vomiting, and rapid heartbeat. In some cases, slow heartbeat and reduced kidney function leading to kidney failure have also been reported. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.
Wavtel 40H Tablet does not cure hypertension but helps normalize it. It's essential to continue taking this medication even if your blood pressure is controlled. Stopping the medicine can cause blood pressure to rise again, increasing the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's close to your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and resume with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.
Stopping Wavtel 40H Tablet without talking to your doctor can lead to increased blood pressure and an elevated risk of heart attacks and strokes. If you experience side effects, such as dizziness or nausea, consult your doctor.
Wavtel 40H Tablet is generally safe to take for the long term. However, it's crucial to follow your doctor's advice and instructions.
You may have to continue taking Wavtel 40H Tablet for a long-term or even lifelong. The medicine only maintains blood pressure control as long as you're taking it.
High blood pressure often has no symptoms, so this medication may not make you feel 'better.' However, it's still working to reduce your risk of serious illness, and you should continue taking the medicine as directed by your doctor.
Wavtel 40H Tablet may very rarely lead to erectile dysfunction. If you're concerned or notice any changes, consult your doctor. However, untreated hypertension can also cause erectile dysfunction, so it's essential to take your medication regularly and monitor your blood pressure.
In addition to taking the medication, make healthy lifestyle choices such as reducing salt intake, managing stress through yoga or meditation, getting regular exercise, eating a balanced diet, and quitting smoking and alcohol consumption. Consult your doctor for personalized guidance.
