Warmy Plus Oral Suspension is an anti-worm medicine used to treat roundworm and tapeworm infections in children.
Oral Suspension
Warmy Plus Oral Suspension is an anti-worm medicine given to treat a multitude of parasitic worm infestations such as roundworm and tapeworm infections in children. It works by paralyzing and restraining the worms from absorbing the body's energy, leading to their eventual death.
Do not share your child's medicines with others and do not give anyone else's medicine to your child.
No common side effects listed.
Warmy Plus Oral Suspension is a mixture of two medicines: Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin works by binding to the muscle and nerve cells of worms causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose) thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die thereby treating your child's infection effectively.
Do not share your child's medicines with others and do not give anyone else's medicine to your child. Worm infections are easily spread between family members. Your doctor may recommend treatment for all family members on the same day whether or not they have any symptoms of infection. Do not give raw or undercooked food to your child. Always give a balanced diet containing herbs, fruits, and spices of therapeutic value. Encourage your child to wash their hands with soap and water every time they use the toilet as that will help prevent cross-infection. Trim your child's nails frequently to disable any source of worm infection. Maintain a neat space and hygiene around your child. Call your child's doctor right away if the child exhibits signs of allergic reaction like rash, itching, or any other sign of infection such as fever, gum-bleeding, black or red stools, and blood in urine or vomit.
Signs of intestinal worm infection in children include persistent anal itching, difficulty sitting or bowel movements, fatigue, restless sleep due to itching, and frequent stomach pain with loss of appetite or indigestion. Your child may also display pica (eating inedible substances) like mud. Consult your child's doctor immediately if you observe any of these symptoms as they can help diagnose the condition. A stool sample and blood tests are necessary to confirm the presence of worms and determine appropriate treatment.
Warmy Plus Oral Suspension can be given at any time of day, but it's most effective when taken with a food source containing fat, such as milk.
Intestinal worm infections are often caused by contamination in areas with poor sanitation. Contaminated soil may harbor worm eggs. Your child may also contract a worm infection if they play in contaminated soil, especially after playing outside. When your child returns home from outdoor activities, encourage them to wash their hands and the area around their bottom thoroughly with soap and water. They should avoid eating food that has been washed or peeled without proper washing.
Store Warmy Plus Oral Suspension at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children and pets. Do not freeze the medicine.
Contact your child's doctor immediately if they experience any of the following: vision problems, puffy eyes, severe itching all over their body or trouble walking/standing, difficulty breathing, fast heart rate. If your child feels disoriented or confused, exhibits loss of bowel control, or complains of neck pain shortly after taking Warmy Plus Oral Suspension, seek medical attention right away.
