Waklert 50 Tablet is used in the treatment of excessive daytime sleepiness (narcolepsy). It improves wakefulness and helps you to stay awake and reduces the tendency to fall asleep during the day, thus restoring the normal sleep cycle.

Waklert 50 Tablet may be taken with or without food. It is advised to take this medicine at a fixed time each day to maintain a consistent level in the blood. If you miss any doses, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly as it may worsen your symptoms. Some common side effects of this medicine include headache, nausea, and insomnia (difficulty sleeping). It even causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. However, these side effects are temporary and usually resolve on their own in some time. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Waklert 50 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Waklert 50 Tablet.
Waklert 50 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Waklert 50 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Waklert 50 Tablet modulates the levels of chemical messengers in the brain and exerts a stimulant effect to reduce extreme sleepiness.
Take it with or without food preferably in morning time before you need to be alert It is not a replacement for a good sleep routine. Try to get the right amount of sleep every night. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Your doctor may monitor you for heart disease and blood pressure while taking this medicine. It makes contraceptive pills less effective, consult with a doctor for effective contraception. Avoid taking alcohol while taking this medicine as it may lead to increase side effects. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts. Stop taking medication and inform your doctor if you experience rash, itching or breathing problem while taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you had a history of depression, anxiety, mood disorder, or mania and drug abuse. Inform your doctor if you notice difficulty sleeping, diarrhea, hallucinations, nausea, chest pain, and fast or slow heart rate. It may cause addiction/dependence potential when taken for long term. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor.
