Syrup
Vox M Syrup is an antibiotic medicine that is effective against a wide range of bacterial and parasitic infections. In children, it is used to treat infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
Vox M Syrup is an antibiotic having ofloxacin and metronidazole as its active ingredients. Both these medicines damage the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria, thus killing it by stopping its growth. This prevents the infection from spreading without making the bacteria resistant to further treatment.
If your child develops diarrhea as a side effect, encourage them to drink plenty of water. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help if Vox M Syrup causes an altered taste. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid to your child within 2 hours of taking Vox M Syrup as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Discontinue Vox M Syrup and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Never save the medicine for future illnesses since its effectiveness in future infections cannot be guaranteed.
If you think your child has taken an extra dose of Vox M Syrup, seek medical attention immediately. Taking too much Vox M Syrup can lead to serious side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat.
If your child's symptoms persist or worsen despite taking Vox M Syrup for the recommended duration, consult their doctor. They may need to prescribe a different antibiotic that is more effective against the underlying infection-causing bacteria.
Inform your child's doctor about any other medications they are taking before starting Vox M Syrup. Additionally, check with their doctor before giving any other medicine to your child, as Vox M Syrup can interact with certain substances.
Generally, antibiotics like Vox M Syrup do not interfere with vaccines or cause adverse reactions. However, it's recommended that children wait until they have fully recovered from their illness before getting vaccinated.
Inform your child's doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions your child has, such as heart disease, genetic disorders involving blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy, neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because Vox M Syrup may exacerbate these conditions.
