During radiotherapy, chemotherapy, abdominal infection, or any major surgeries, the dead cells in the body start releasing a chemical called serotonin directly into the blood. Later, this stimulates special centers in the body that are responsible for inducing vomiting in your child. Giving Vomius 2mg Syrup just before the procedure helps block the effect of this chemical on vomiting centers of the brain and prevents vomiting.
Vomius 2mg Syrup effectively controls nausea and bouts of vomiting reflex in children undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy sessions. It is fast-acting and starts working within 30 minutes. Practice self-care measures: Give plenty of fluids to your child to avoid dehydration Avoid giving fried and spicy food or heavy meals to your child. Ensure that your child eats slowly and in small proportions.
Vomius 2mg Syrup is typically prescribed by a doctor before major surgery, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy sessions to help prevent vomiting. It may also be used to treat stomach-related diseases that cause vomiting, as directed by a child's doctor.
If your child accidentally takes an extra dose of Vomius 2mg Syrup, it is unlikely to cause harm. However, you should still consult with their doctor immediately, as excessive intake can lead to serious side effects known as serotonin syndrome, which include symptoms such as excess sleepiness, agitation, rapid heartbeat, hypertension, flushing, and seizures.
Vomius 2mg Syrup should be stored at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct heat and light. It is essential to keep all medications out of reach and sight of children to avoid accidental intake.
Before starting Vomius 2mg Syrup, inform your child's doctor about any other medications they are taking. Additionally, consult with their doctor before administering any medicine to your child, especially if it is for depression or migraine treatment.
If your child experiences symptoms of serotonin syndrome such as irregular heartbeat, green-colored vomiting, inability to pass wind, pale skin and eyes, dark-colored urine, restlessness, and insomnia, contact their doctor immediately.
It is not recommended to combine Vomius 2mg Syrup with medications for depression or migraine as this can lead to serotonin syndrome. Consult your child's doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
