How it works
Volt-MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation.

Frequently asked questions
What is Volt-MR Tablet?
Volt-MR Tablet is a combination of Diclofenac, Paracetamol, and Chlorzoxazone. This medication helps relieve muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone acts on the central nervous system as a muscle relaxant. Diclofenac and Paracetamol lower prostaglandin levels in the body to reduce pain and inflammation.
Is Volt-MR Tablet safe to use?
Volt-MR Tablet is generally safe for most patients. However, potential side effects include nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach upset, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other rare or uncommon side effects. Inform your doctor immediately if any persistent problems occur due to the medication.
Can I stop taking Volt-MR Tablet when my pain is relieved?
Continue using Volt-MR Tablet only as instructed by your doctor. If you are using it for short-term pain relief, discontinuation may be possible with consultation from your doctor.
Can the use of Volt-MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, using Volt-MR Tablet can cause nausea and vomiting. To mitigate this: take it with milk, food, or antacids. Avoid fatty or fried foods while taking this medication. If vomiting occurs, drink plenty of water or other fluids in small frequent sips. If vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration (dark-colored urine and decreased urination frequency), consult your doctor.
Can the use of Volt-MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, Volt-MR Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded). In such cases, rest for a while and resume when feeling better.
Can the use of Volt-MR Tablet cause kidney damage?
Long-term use of Volt-MR Tablet can potentially lead to kidney damage. This is because this medication lowers prostaglandin levels in the body, which protects kidneys from damage. It's not recommended for patients with pre-existing kidney disease or those who experience prolonged pain.
Can I take a higher dose of this medicine?
Taking a higher than recommended dose of Volt-MR Tablet can increase the risk of side effects. If your pain is not relieved with the recommended doses, consult your doctor for a re-evaluation.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Volt-MR Tablet?
Store Volt-MR Tablet in its original container or packaging, tightly closed. Follow storage instructions on the package or label. Do not dispose of unused medication and ensure it is inaccessible to pets, children, and others.
