Voglibose (0.2mg)
Vogsi 0.2mg Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus by controlling high blood sugar levels after meals.
Tablet
Vogsi 0.2mg Tablet should be taken just before a meal. The dose and frequency will be decided by your doctor to control your blood sugar levels effectively. Do not stop taking it suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it may increase your blood sugar levels and put you at risk of serious complications like kidney damage and blindness. This medicine is part of a treatment program that includes a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking this medicine. Common side effects include flatulence (gas), stomach pain, loss of appetite, constipation, and diarrhea. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you or do not go away. This medicine does not cause hypoglycemia by itself but can lead to low blood sugar levels when used with other diabetes medicines. Before taking it, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems. Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking this medicine as it may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Vogsi 0.2mg Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.
Vogsi 0.2mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine. It inhibits the intestinal enzymes responsible for breaking complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose levels from rising very high immediately after meals.
Vogsi 0.2mg Tablet is used together with other diabetes medicines to control blood sugar and avoid long-term complications. You should continue to exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines along with Vogsi 0.2mg Tablet. Vogsi 0.2mg Tablet lowers your post-meal blood sugar levels. Therefore, it should be taken before meals. Side effects such as stomach pain, gas, and diarrhea may occur during the first few weeks of treatment but should get better with time.
There is no evidence suggesting that normal doses of Vogsi 0.2mg Tablet lead to significant weight loss. However, very high doses can affect the absorption of food, potentially causing weight loss. It is not approved for weight loss treatment. Please consult your doctor before starting this medication.
Vogsi 0.2mg Tablet is typically prescribed to be taken orally three times daily immediately before each meal. It may be given alongside a controlled diet, but in some cases, your doctor may recommend it along with proper diet and other antidiabetic medicines when Vogsi 0.2mg Tablet alone does not provide adequate blood sugar control. If the dosage requires adjustment for effectiveness, your doctor will determine this and consider any necessary changes.
