Vofni M Oral Suspension is a combination of three active ingredients: ofloxacin, metronidazole, and simethicone. It is given to children for the treatment of bacterial infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract. This medicine is also given as an empirical antibiotic for infected diarrhea mixed with blood and serious infections like peritonitis.

Interacting Medicines

Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Vofni M Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.

Vofni M Oral Suspension is a combination of three active ingredients: ofloxacin, metronidazole, and simethicone. The antibiotic ingredients interfere with the genetic material of bacteria by impairing its DNA. This kills the infection-causing bacteria, preventing its growth and stopping the infection. Simethicone binds with the gas bubbles produced as a result of the other two ingredients or as a result of some other problem, aiding in the removal of gases and providing relief in stomach pain and bloating.

Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Vofni M Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Never use this medicine for the common cold and flu as they are caused by viruses and Vofni M Oral Suspension treats only bacterial infections. Discontinue Vofni M Oral Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing.
