Vissco 5709 Anti-Embolism Stockings - Knee (Open Toe) are medical compression stockings used for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis, DVT, for bedridden patients, patients admitted to the ICU during surgery and other conditions causing pain and discomfort in the legs. They provide graduated compression from the ankle to the knee, helping to support and reduce pain in the ankles, as well as reduce pain related to varicose veins.

To put on the stocking, follow these steps: Put on the applicator given in the box over the foot, slide the stocking up towards the knee, insert your hand in the stocking and hold the heel portion in your palm, reverse the stocking outward, slide the inverted stocking such that its heel portion fits your heel perfectly, and slowly start pulling up the stocking making sure there are no creases.
