Virovir 250 Tablet is an antiviral medicine used to treat viral infections such as herpes labialis, herpes simplex virus infections, shingles, and genital herpes infection.

Introduction

Virovir 250 Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule to avoid overdose. You should drink plenty of water while on treatment with this medicine as it helps to prevent dehydration and kidney damage.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Virovir 250 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Alcohol Warning

Breastfeeding Warning

Virovir 250 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Pregnancy Warning

Virovir 250 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
