Introduction

Veltam DFZ 0.4mg/30mg Capsule MR may be prescribed alone or in combination with other medicines. It is best taken with food. Take it regularly and do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor. You should not stop taking the medicine until your doctor tells you it is okay to stop. Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as runny nose, ejaculation disorders, and dizziness. If you experienced any of these side effects that do not go away or get worse, let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent the side effects. To make sure the medicine is safe for you, before taking this medicine, let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking. Let your doctor also know if you have any problems with your heart, liver, or kidneys. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor first before taking this medicine.

Veltam DFZ 0.4mg/30mg Capsule MR is a combination of two medicines: Tamsulosin and Deflazacort. Tamsulosin is an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so as to allow easy passage of urine. Deflazacort is a steroid medicine. It works by reducing inflammation (swelling) in the kidneys to promote the passage of the stones through urine.

Take adequate water or fluids while taking this medicine to prevent kidney stones. You can also include citric acid rich food in your diet like grapefruit, oranges, lemons, or limes to prevent kidney stones. Inform your doctor if you have any kidney or heart disease or high potassium levels in your blood. Veltam DFZ 0.4mg/30mg Capsule MR can suppress your immune system, so it is important if you become ill that you make an appointment to see your doctor straightaway.
