Introduction

Vanlid 250mg Capsule is only effective in treating Clostridium difficile associated diarrhea and is not useful for treating other types of diarrhea or any other infection in the body. It may be used for treating adults as well as children. This medicine is taken orally with or without food. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Vanlid 250mg Capsule may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Vanlid 250mg Capsule is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.

You have been prescribed Vanlid 250mg Capsule for the treatment of diarrhea and inflammation of intestine caused by bacteria called Clostridium difficile. Do not use it for any other types of diarrhea or bacterial infections. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat. Take your medicine with plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated. Your doctor may regularly monitor your kidney function and your hearing function while you are taking this medicine.
