Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Valfect 40mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Valfect 40mg Tablet is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It relaxes the blood vessel by blocking the action of a chemical that usually makes blood vessels tighter. This lowers the blood pressure, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly to different organs and the heart to pump more efficiently.
It can make you feel dizzy for the first few days. Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down for a long time. Your doctor may get regular tests done to monitor the level of urea, creatinine, and potassium in your blood. Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen along with this medicine without consulting your doctor. Do not take Valfect 40mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not stop taking it suddenly without talking to your doctor.
Patients typically experience a significant decrease in blood pressure within two weeks of starting Valfect 40mg Tablet. The complete effects may be noticeable after four weeks of consistent use.
Several blood pressure-lowering medications can be considered safe for treating hypertension. However, the specific medication prescribed depends on individual factors such as age, gender, existing medical conditions and other co-existing health concerns. Doctors typically prescribe angiotensin II receptor antagonists (ARAs) or Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) Inhibitors for patients below 55 years of age without significant coexisting diseases. These may include Valfect 40mg Tablet, losartan, olmesartan, ramipril, captopril, or enalapril.
Valfect 40mg Tablet generally doesn't affect kidney function. However, patients with severe pre-existing kidney impairment (creatinine clearance <10 ml/min) and those on dialysis should use this medication cautiously as data supporting its safety in these populations is limited.
Valfect 40mg Tablet should not be administered to individuals who: * Are allergic to it * Have severe liver disease * Have diabetes * Have impaired kidney function. * Are taking blood pressure-lowering medications containing aliskiren. It is essential for pregnant or intending pregnant women to avoid using Valfect 40mg Tablet.
Valfect 40mg Tablet belongs to the angiotensin II receptor antagonists (ARAs). Angiotensin II is a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to tighten, leading to increased blood pressure. Valfect 40mg Tablet functions by blocking the effects of angiotensin II, leading to relaxed blood vessels and thus lowering blood pressure.
No, Valfect 40mg Tablet does not directly cause weight gain as a side effect. However, if kidney function declines significantly, your body may retain water, leading to possible swelling in extremities. If you experience unexplained weight gain or swelling in your feet, ankles, or hands, inform your doctor immediately.
Continue taking Valfect 40mg Tablet for as long as your doctor recommends. Never stop taking it even if you feel better. It may be necessary to take Valfect 40mg Tablet throughout your life, as it does not cure hypertension or heart failure but rather controls them.
Taking Valfect 40mg Tablet during the last months of pregnancy can be harmful to the fetus. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant and do not take Valfect 40mg Tablet while pregnant, as this may cause serious harm or even death to your unborn baby. If you become pregnant while taking Valfect 40mg Tablet, discontinue use immediately and contact your doctor.
No, do not switch to a different Valfect 40mg Tablet product unless your doctor advises you to. As this medication needs to be taken daily, ensure you have sufficient stock on hand. Each Valfect 40mg Tablet product works differently in the body, and substituting these products is not advisable.
