Valent-H Tablet is a combination of two medicines. It helps to control high blood pressure in different ways. If high blood pressure is not treated it can lead to heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure. You can take Valent-H Tablet with or without food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. It contains a diuretic (water pill) and will make you urinate more so it is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well. High blood pressure does not usually have symptoms and if you stop taking it your risk of heart attack or stroke may increase.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Valent-H Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
The most common side effect is dizziness. Other side effects include feeling tired, nausea, diarrhea, headache, and decreased blood pressure.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Valent-H Tablet.
Valent-H Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Valent-H Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

You have been prescribed Valent-H Tablet for the treatment of high blood pressure. It can be taken with or without food. Valent-H Tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, very dry mouth or muscle weakness. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Use of Valent-H Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding is unsafe. It may also decrease the risk of stroke and heart attacks.
You may experience a decrease in blood pressure within two weeks of starting Valent-H Tablet. However, the complete effect may not be noticeable until four weeks. It is important to speak with your doctor if you have any concerns regarding Valent-H Tablet. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.
Several blood pressure-lowering medications are considered safe for treatment. Your doctor will provide the best guidance based on individual factors such as age, gender, existing medical conditions, and more. It's important to remember that the effectiveness of medication can vary from person to person. For instance, someone under 55 with no other health issues might be prescribed angiotensin II receptor antagonists (ARAs) (e.g., Valent-H Tablet, losartan, or olmesartan) or Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) inhibitors (e.g., ramipril, captopril, or enalapril), depending on your doctor's assessment.
Valent-H Tablet is generally safe for individuals with healthy kidneys and does not significantly affect their function. However, limited data is available regarding its safety for patients with severe kidney impairment (creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min) who are on dialysis. As a precaution, Valent-H Tablet should be used cautiously in such cases. It's crucial to seek your doctor's advice before taking it.
Valent-H Tablet is contraindicated for individuals who are allergic to it, have severe liver disease, or diabetes. It also requires caution in those with pre-existing kidney impairment (creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min) and on dialysis. Additionally, its use should be limited if you are already being treated with blood pressure-lowering medications containing Aliskiren. Remember to consult your doctor for any potential interactions.
Valent-H Tablet does not directly cause weight gain as a side effect. However, if kidney function worsens, fluid retention may occur, leading to unintended weight gain. Inform your doctor if you experience unexplained weight gain or swelling in the feet, ankles, or hands.
Continue taking Valent-H Tablet as directed by your healthcare provider. Do not discontinue it even if you experience improvement. Depending on your individual needs, you may require lifelong treatment with Valent-H Tablet as it does not cure high blood pressure or heart failure but helps control them.
Taking Valent-H Tablet during pregnancy can be harmful to both you and your baby. Therefore, avoid using it if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Always inform your doctor if you suspect pregnancy while taking this medication, as this may require stopping treatment and consultation with a healthcare professional.
No, do not switch to a different brand of Valent-H Tablet unless advised by your doctor. Using the same medication consistently daily is crucial for its effectiveness. Please keep a sufficient supply of the prescribed brand as switching without consulting your doctor may lead to potential complications.
