V-Press Eye Drop is used to treat elevated intraocular pressure (high pressure inside the eye) in people with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.
Eye Drop
V-Press Eye Drop is a beta blocker that helps reduce the risk of vision loss in people with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. It lowers the pressure in the eye by decreasing the production of fluid. Always wash your hands before using V-Press Eye Drop. Use only the number of drops that your doctor has prescribed. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before using the drops and wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. If you are also using other eye medicines, wait for at least 10 minutes before using them.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
V-Press Eye Drop is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
V-Press Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you.
Acarbose Chlorpropamide Glibenclamide Gliclazide
V-Press Eye Drop is a beta blocker. It works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye) thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Notify your doctor if you have lung or heart diseases as V-Press Eye Drop may worsen these conditions. Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
V-Press Eye Drop helps to reduce intraocular pressure, thereby decreasing the risk of damage to the optic nerve and potentially leading to blindness if left uncontrolled. It effectively controls ocular hypertension and certain types of glaucoma by lowering eye pressure.
Typically, V-Press Eye Drop is instilled once or twice a day at evenly spaced intervals until the eye pressure is controlled (about 4 weeks). After that, it can be used once daily or as advised by your healthcare provider. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and ask for clarification if needed.
No, it is not recommended to stop using V-Press Eye Drop abruptly. Stopping the medication suddenly may allow eye pressure to rise, increasing the risk of vision loss. Consult your doctor before making any changes to your treatment regimen.
Contact your doctor immediately if you experience an eye infection, conjunctivitis, or eyelid reaction while using V-Press Eye Drop. Additionally, inform your doctor about any eye injuries or surgeries. Discuss with your healthcare provider whether it is safe to continue using V-Press Eye Drop.
It is recommended to remove contact lenses before administering V-Press Eye Drop. Wait 15 minutes after using the medication before re-inserting your contacts. If you experience persistent eye irritation, consult your doctor for further guidance.
