Using this medicine can reduce or increase the effect of some other medicines so tell your doctor all other medicines you are taking. Women should discontinue hormonal birth control pills as they can increase the production of gallstones. During the treatment, you may need ultrasound scans or frequent blood tests to check your liver function.

Ursocad 450mg Tablet SR is generally considered a safe and effective medicine. However, like any medication, it may have side effects. Some common side effects include diarrhea. If you experience this, your doctor may adjust the dosage, or discontinue treatment if needed. Additionally, long-term use of this medication could potentially affect liver enzyme levels. Your doctor will closely monitor your liver enzyme levels regularly to manage potential side effects.
Ursocad 450mg Tablet SR influences the liver by concentrating in bile, which is secreted from the liver. This process reduces cholesterol synthesis and secretion by the liver, ultimately lowering cholesterol levels in bile. It also hinders the intestines' ability to absorb bile salts and cholesterol, further contributing to reducing cholesterol saturation in bile. This reduction in cholesterol saturation facilitates the gradual breakdown of gallstones into smaller, more manageable forms. Consequently, it leads to their eventual dissolution.
Weight gain is possible with Ursocad 450mg Tablet SR, but it's not common. The use of this medication can lead to weight gain when prescribed for patients experiencing liver disease due to chronic bile stasis in the small bile ducts of the liver. In such instances, bile flow from the liver to the small intestine is obstructed. Weight gain chances vary from person to person depending on individual health conditions, so consult your doctor if you experience any unintended changes in weight.
While taking Ursocad 450mg Tablet SR, it's essential to avoid certain medications and dietary choices. Antacids should be used cautiously and only under your doctor's guidance as they can negatively affect the effectiveness of Ursocad 450mg Tablet SR. Additionally, avoid medicines containing cholestyramine or colestipol, as these can interfere with the effectiveness of this medication. Always consult your doctor about appropriate time intervals between taking Ursocad 450mg Tablet SR and any other medications to ensure optimal efficacy.
