Urialfa D 8mg/0.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines that work in different ways to treat men with an enlarged prostate gland. It helps to relieve symptoms such as difficulty urinating or needing to go to the toilet more often. It is not used to prevent prostate cancer.
Directions for Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Urialfa D 8mg/0.5mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
How it works
Urialfa D 8mg/0.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Silodosin and Dutasteride. Silodosin is an alpha-blocker that works by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so as to allow easy passage of urine. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor that helps in shrinking the prostate gland by decreasing the level of the hormone which helps the prostate gland grow.
Quick Tips
Take it approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. Inform your eye doctor about the usage of Urialfa D 8mg/0.5mg Tablet if you are scheduled to undergo an eye surgery due to cataract or glaucoma. Do not donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Urialfa D 8mg/0.5mg Tablet.
