Ophthalmic Solution

Introduction

Unimox-T Ophthalmic Solution is to be used only in the affected eye. Read the label carefully for instruction before you use the medicine. Use it in the exact dose and duration as advised by the doctor or as instructed in the label. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Complete your dose even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may bring back the infection. Use of this medicine may cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, if they persist or get worse, inform your doctor. In case of accidental contact with your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it with water. Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients in this medicine or if you are taking any other medication. How it works

Unimox-T Ophthalmic Solution is a combination of two antibiotics: Tobramycin and Moxifloxacin which treat eye infections. Tobramycin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Moxifloxacin kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Quick Tips

Your doctor has prescribed Unimox-T Ophthalmic Solution to treat bacterial infections of the eye. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Burning sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
