How it works

Unicid Oral Suspension Sugar Free is a combination of four medicines: Oxetacaine, Aluminium Hydroxide, Magnesium and Simethicone. Oxetacaine is a local anesthetic which provides fast relief from pain due to ulcers or acidic injury in the stomach on account of its numbing effect. Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium are antacids which neutralize excess acid in stomach. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

Quick Tips

Take it on an empty stomach preferably 1 hour before a meal It may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Unicid Oral Suspension Sugar Free as it can cause excessive drowsiness and increase your risk of stomach problems. It may take 4-6 weeks or more for the ulcers to heal completely. Do not stop taking the medicine until your doctor tells you to. Inform your doctor if you experience severe or long-lasting abdominal pain.
