Benzocaine (10% w/w) + Chlorhexidine Gluconate (1% w/w)
Ultigel is a combination of two medicines used to treat mouth ulcers, reducing redness, pain, and swelling in the affected area.
Gel
Ultigel should be used as directed by your doctor. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. Use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Apply it only on the affected areas of the mouth with a clean hand. Avoid swallowing the medicine. This medicine is well tolerated with little or no side effects. It does not usually cause any side effects. However, if you experience any symptom which you believe is caused by the use of this medicine, consult with your doctor.
Check the label for directions before use. Gently apply the gel to the affected area inside your mouth. Refrain from eating or drinking immediately after applying the gel.
Ultigel is a combination of two medicines: Benzocaine and Chlorhexidine Gluconate. Benzocaine is a local anesthetic that works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain, decreasing sensation of pain. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic and disinfectant that works by binding to the surface of teeth, inner cheeks, and gums, killing infectious microorganisms that cause gum disease, ulcers, and other mouth infections.
