Frequently asked questions
Can Ufibate Cream be used for a long time?
No, Ufibate Cream should not be used for prolonged periods. The physician typically prescribes it for two consecutive weeks only. However, the treatment duration may vary depending on chronic inflammatory conditions and needs to be determined by your doctor.
Does Ufibate Cream cause severe skin reactions?
Severe skin reactions are uncommon with Ufibate Cream. As an anti-inflammatory drug, Ufibate Cream is used for treating skin diseases, reactions, and eczemas. However, individuals with hypersensitivity can experience skin reactions. Maintaining open access to the affected area after application of Ufibate Cream is crucial to avoid occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressing) that may lead to further skin reactions. While the medication itself might not cause a reaction, certain excipients added to it can trigger them in some instances. Report any skin reactions to your physician immediately.
Can Ufibate Cream be used on the face?
No, Ufibate Cream is not intended for use on the face. It should also not be applied to armpits (axillae), groin, or any areas with tissue atrophy. In exceptional cases, your physician may authorize its use after consultation. The application to the face should be limited to a maximum of five days if considered.
Can Ufibate Cream be applied to children?
Ufibate Cream is not recommended for children younger than one year old. It's also not recommended for older children and adolescents as side effects are more common in these groups. The immune system of children might be suppressed, potentially leading to an increased risk of other diseases and atrophy. However, your doctor may prescribe it on rare occasions, only for a limited duration (up to five days) and under close observation.
Can we use Ufibate Cream in infections?
Ufibate Cream is not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent. It's a corticosteroid medication that can suppress the immune system and increase the risk of infection worsening if applied to infected areas after treatment with this cream. If inflammatory lesions become infected, consult your doctor immediately as they will withdraw Ufibate Cream use and prescribe appropriate antibiotics.
Can I stop taking Ufibate Cream when my symptoms are relieved?
No, do not stop taking Ufibate Cream before completing the full treatment course. Even if you feel better early on, it's crucial to continue your prescribed treatment duration. Stopping Ufibate Cream prematurely might lead to the reappearance of symptoms.
Does Ufibate Cream cause dangerous skin reactions?
Local skin reactions are uncommon with Ufibate Cream, but individuals with hypersensitivity can experience them. It's important to maintain open access to the affected area after applying Ufibate Cream to prevent occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressing) that might lead to further skin reactions. If not caused by the medication itself, some reactions can be caused by added excipients to it. Report any skin reactions to your physician as soon as possible.
