Udsin 150mg Tablet works on the liver, becoming concentrated in the bile secreted from it. This leads to reduced cholesterol synthesis and secretion by the liver, resulting in decreased cholesterol levels in bile. The medication also prevents the intestines from absorbing bile salts and cholesterol, causing reduced cholesterol saturation in bile. As a result, this helps to dissolve gallstones, decrease their size, and eventually lead to their dissolution.
Yes, there is a chance of weight gain associated with the use of Udsin 150mg Tablet. This is more likely to occur in patients with liver disease related to chronic stasis of bile in small bile ducts. In such cases, bile cannot flow from the liver to the small intestine, potentially leading to weight gain.
While taking Udsin 150mg Tablet, it is essential to avoid using antacid preparations without consulting your doctor. They can decrease the effectiveness of this medication. Also, you should avoid medicines like cholestyramine or colestipol as they affect the effectiveness of Udsin 150mg Tablet. Consult your doctor about maintaining an appropriate time gap between Udsin 150mg Tablet and these medications. Additionally, avoid using oral contraceptives, estrogenic hormones, and blood cholesterol-lowering agents such as clofibrate, as they may increase the chances of developing gallstones and work against the effects of Udsin 150mg Tablet.
