Udgrace 300mg Tablet works on the liver by concentrating in the bile produced by the liver. This, in turn, suppresses the liver's production and secretion of cholesterol, subsequently decreasing cholesterol levels within the bile. The medication also prevents the intestines from absorbing bile salts and cholesterol. Consequently, reduced cholesterol saturation within the bile promotes the gradual dissolution of gallstones, leading to decreased size and eventual dissolution. Furthermore, it reduces elevated liver enzyme levels by increasing bile flow through the liver, ultimately protecting the liver cells.
While Udgrace 300mg Tablet does have a potential for causing weight gain, it is not a common occurrence. However, it may lead to weight gain in patients with liver disease associated with chronic stasis of bile in the small bile ducts of the liver. In such cases, bile cannot flow from the liver to the intestines. The chance of weight gain varies among individuals depending on their specific condition and should be discussed with your doctor for personalized advice.
When taking Udgrace 300mg Tablet, avoid combining it with antacid preparations without first consulting your doctor as they can diminish the medication's effectiveness. You should also avoid medications like cholestyramine or colestipol, as these substances may interfere with the treatment's efficacy. Consult your doctor to determine the appropriate time gap between Udgrace 300mg Tablet and these other medications. Additionally, avoid taking oral contraceptives, estrogenic hormones, and blood cholesterol-lowering agents such as clofibrate, as these drugs may increase the likelihood of developing gallstones and potentially counter the effects of Udgrace 300mg Tablet.
