Introduction
Tysabri 300mg Injection stops the cells that cause inflammation from going into your brain, reducing nerve damage caused by MS. This medicine often causes nausea and vomiting, but it is important to continue taking it even if you begin to feel ill. Do not stop taking this medicine without first checking with your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms like abdominal pain, loss of appetite, darkened urine or yellowing of the eyes or skin, which may be signs of liver damage.
Directions for Use
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self-administer.
How it works
Certain immune cells (T cells) are known to attack the protective sheath (myelin) around the nerves and cause disabling effects in multiple sclerosis. Tysabri 300mg Injection works by binding to T cells and preventing their entry into the brain and spinal cord. This slows disease progression and reduces the number of attacks in multiple sclerosis.
Quick Tips
Tysabri 300mg Injection is used to treat multiple sclerosis. It is given once every 4 weeks as a drip into a vein (by intravenous infusion) usually in your arm. It may increase your risk of getting infections. Inform your doctor immediately if you get any signs of infection such as fever, sore throat, mouth ulcers, rash or severe diarrhea while taking this medicine. Do not stop treatment without talking to your doctor. You are more likely to experience an allergic reaction if you restart treatment after a gap of three or more months.
