Key Information

Short Description

Tyridol 100mg Suppository is a pain-relieving medicine used for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, administered rectally.

Dosage Form

Suppository

Introduction

Tyridol 100mg Suppository is taken by the back passage (rectal route) and should not be taken orally. It must be given under the supervision of a doctor only. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but take it exactly as your doctor prescribes. The most common side effects include nausea, dizziness, vomiting, constipation, and sleepiness. If these symptoms bother you, do not go away, or get worse, you should tell your doctor. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the symptoms.

Breastfeeding Warning

Tyridol 100mg Suppository is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Consult a doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness (more than usual), difficulty breastfeeding, breathing problems, or limpness.

Pregnancy Warning

Pregnancy Warning

Tyridol 100mg Suppository may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Interacting Medicines

Linezolid Moclobemide Rasagiline Selegiline

How it works

Tyridol 100mg Suppository is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) that is absorbed rapidly into the bloodstream from the rich blood supply of the rectal area. Once absorbed, it works by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception.
