Introduction

Twicyl 500mg Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is effective in infections of the throat, ear, nasal sinuses, respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, and typhoid fever. However, it is important to note that it is not effective against viral infections such as the common cold or flu.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Twicyl 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Twicyl 500mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.

Finish the prescribed course even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Taking probiotics along with Twicyl 500mg Tablet may help. Talk to your doctor if you notice bloody stools or develop abdominal cramps. Stop taking this medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue or breathing difficulties while taking it.
