Introduction

Tutax 1000mg Injection is an antibiotic belonging to the cephalosporin group, used to treat bacterial infections in your body. It is effective in infections of the brain (e.g., meningitis), lungs (e.g., pneumonia), ear, urinary tract, skin & soft tissues, bones & joints, blood, and heart.

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self-administer.

Side Effects

Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools.

Alcohol Warning

Consuming alcohol with Tutax 1000mg Injection does not cause any harmful side effects.

Breastfeeding Warning

Tutax 1000mg Injection should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

Pregnancy Warning

Tutax 1000mg Injection is safe to use during pregnancy. Most studies have shown low or no risk to the developing baby.

Tutax 1000mg Injection is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.

Your doctor has prescribed Tutax 1000mg Injection to cure your infection and improve your symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection harder to treat. Discontinue Tutax 1000mg Injection and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
