Trolys 250 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called antifungals. It is used to treat a wide range of fungal infections of the skin and nails, including ringworm. It works by killing the fungi that cause the infection.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Trolys 250 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Trolys 250 Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.
Trolys 250 Tablet is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Treatment may be needed for 2 to 6 weeks for skin infections and 6 weeks to 6 months for nail infections. Your doctor may monitor your liver function regularly during treatment. Inform your doctor if you notice yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, or stomach pain. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
Oral administration of Trolys 250 Tablet is not recommended in patients with chronic or active liver disease. A pre-treatment liver function test should be performed to assess the liver's functionality, which will help determine its capacity to process medication and prevent potential toxicity. It is essential to inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of liver disease or cirrhosis, as well as any other medications you are taking. This information allows them to consider potential interactions and make appropriate adjustments regarding dosage or treatment duration.
Some individuals may experience skin reactions while using Trolys 250 Tablet. There have been rare reports of severe, life-threatening skin reactions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis occurring with this medication. Please consult your physician before starting treatment with Trolys 250 Tablet and do not self-medicate.

However, the treatment duration may extend to 6 weeks in certain cases. For fungal infections of the nails, the therapy duration can range from 6 to 12 weeks. For nail fungus specifically, treatment could take up to 12 weeks. The exact treatment period is determined by your healthcare provider based on the specific type and location of the infection, as well as the patient's response to the medication.
Caffeinated beverages like tea and coffee should be consumed with caution while using Trolys 250 Tablet, as they may increase side effects. This is due to the drug's ability to significantly reduce the rate of caffeine metabolism (by approximately 19%) which could lead to an increased level of caffeine in the body, potentially leading to symptoms such as jitteriness, headache, increased heart rate, and restlessness.
